Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox born December 25 of 1954 in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox was awarded a scholarship to study at the London's Royal Academy of Music for 3 years. Lennox was able to live with the stipend she received from her students while working part time jobs. Lennox believed that her abilities aren't the same as the Royal Academy classmates. So she thought about alternative routes she could choose. Lennox began her career in the year 1976 when she joined the group called Dragons Playground. The group did not appear on the talent competition New Faces on I.T.V. Between 1977 and 1980 she sang in The Tourists. A British pop group. Here she met Dave Stewart who would later join Eurythmics. Lennox was working on her own debut record Diva. It came out in 1993. The album was hugely successful both critically and commercially. Nostalgia Lennox's 6th solo album was released in November 2014. The C.D. includes a collection of Lennoxs favorite soul jazz and blues songs from her childhood. Lepidoptera is a compilation of four impromptu piano pieces was released by Lennox in May of 2019. The E.P. This is the companion album to her album Now I Let it go... artwork, which was displayed at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. This is also her first independently-released album. Annie Lennox is a Scottish artist and singer born on December 25th 1954. The Tourists gained some minor acknowledgement for their and Dave Stewart's work during the 1970s. The group went on through the 1980s to become the popular duo Eurythmics. In 1992 Lennox launched a solo career by releasing her debut album Diva which yielded numerous successful songs, such as Why and Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa, her 1995 album studio, features version covers of No MoreI Love Yous as well as The Whiter Shade of Pale. Her six studio solo albums and her compilation album include a number of tracks.
