The early achievements of Maureen FitzSimons in the performing arts, which we now know as Maureen O'Hara, would certainly qualify her for the "child prodigy" category. However, for a child from Irish origin, and surrounded by gifted parents and family, those were not innate traits. Maureen was born in Ranelagh - a suburb of Dublin in Ireland on the 17th of August 1920. Marguerita LIlburn FitzSimons is her mother. She was an accomplished contralto. Charles FitzSimons ran a Dublin firm, as well as held shares of the Irish soccer team Shamrock Rovers. Maureen FitzSimons' is the 2nd FitzSimons children. Peggy FitzSimons Florrie Charles B.
